Hellinghausen Hope starts work on Trinity Towers

Encouraged by their refurbishment and filling of the 57-unit Village Square Apartments at 1710 N.

"A" St., directors of the Hellinghausen Hope affordable housing group Monday turned their attention to a new $5.5 million project at Trinity Towers at 2800 W. Illinois Ave.

Executive Director Sharon Nieto and board members Alan Moravcik, Jim Ameel, Romeo Canales, Carol Fulfer and Lily White held a 10 a.m. news conference outside the former retirement center to say bids will be advertised for and the remodeling completed by the late spring or early summer of next year.
